Fashion & Textile Museum Vintage Knitting Talk

Fashion & Textile Museum Vintage Knitting Talk

I’m rather thrilled to say I’ve been asked to hold a talk at the London Fashion & Textile Museum to coincide with their Knitwear: Chanel to Westwood exhibition. The talk will be about vintage handknit designs and my experience of adapting them, particularly for my current book ‘Vintage Knit’. The talk (cunningly titled ‘Geraldine Warner: Vintage Knit’) will see me discussing the techniques, styles, and yarns used in Vintage Knit, including an opportunity to look at finished garments. I’ll also be looking at the term ‘vintage’ and how handknit designs fit in with a relevant, fashionable style.

The talk will be taking place on Thursday 9th October 6-8pm, and if the lure of hearing me go on about vintage patterns isn’t enough, the ticket price includes a free drink, Q&A and a book signing – what’s not to like?! Book your tickets here and put it in your diary …
